Sorry for the delayed response. I usually receive notices of postings. But, for some reason no notices have come through for the past several months.I wondered why things were so quiet in FCCA-Land! If you have some way to scan your photos, I’d love to receive them. And, thanks for the Facebook referral. I’ll go have a look.

As a young man, I was an avid ralliest in the San Francisco Bay Area sports car scene for several years in the mid-60s. The release of Food v Ferrari rekindled my interest in learning what became of my sports car club, CIMMIG (gimmic spelled backwards). I have fond memories of club members making a pilgrimage from the South Bay, where we were based, to San Francisco in 1966 to see the premier of Grand Prix in Cinerama, stopping at the legendary Grison’s Steak House on Van Ness along the way. Over the years, we sponsored and/or participated in many rallies, autocrosses, gymkhanas, and the like. Once life caught up with me — college, jobs, girlfriends, etc. — I lost touch with the members. I don’t recall whether or not CIMMIG was actually a member of the FCCA, but thought I’d give this a shout out, in case anyone on here might have more information. Thanks!

Yes, CMIIG was a chapter of the FCCA. I have a small file on the club. Included in the file are some items in which you might be interest. One is your original membership application. It documents your address as 1051 Leo Drive in San Jose and list Sandi Peterson as your auxiliary member. It shows you own a Triumph TR3 and lists your age as 18. There is also a club membership list with your name on it. There is also a flier for an Econo-run scheduled for May 14…no year given.
